Special Faculty Initiatives
Proposals that increase the level of understanding and enhance study or research related to China will be considered. Funding level is subject to the availability of the fund and the nature of the initiative.

Application Deadlines

An individual or unit is eligible for one grant during the 12-month period.
Terms of FUNDING
Should an application be approved, the following terms apply.
Special Faculty Initiatives Grant
• A report of the initiative or related publication must be submitted to The China Institute within four weeks of project completion. The report should provide a brief summary of how the grant was utilized, including key activities and outcomes. Please note that failure to submit a report may affect your eligibility for future grants.
• Research related projects must be set up through the Research Services Office by the grant recipient.
• It is the responsibility of the researcher to obtain all required ethics approval in advance for research involving human subjects, animals, or sensitive areas or subjects.
• Grant transfer arrangements must be made within two months of the award letter, and the funds may no longer be available thereafter.
• Unused funds must be returned to The China Institute.
