51ÁÔÆæ Museums Strategic Plan 2017 - 2021
The 51ÁÔÆæ Museums Strategic Plan, Contributing to the Public Good, was developed in support of the 51ÁÔÆæ's Strategic Plan For the Public Good. This plan was developed by the UAlberta Museums and Collections Services in conjunction with 51ÁÔÆæ Museums' curators and staff and in consultation with Chairs, Deans and with our community of students, researchers, and our communities. Progress and implementation is reflected in our Annual Reports 2016/2017, 2017/2018.
Business Case for the Curatorial Research Facility
In 2008, Museums and Collections Services / 51ÁÔÆæ Museums in conjunction with the 51ÁÔÆæ: Office of the University Architect developed a Business Case for a Curatorial Research Facility. This Case outlined the need for a purpose-built building on the 51ÁÔÆæ north campus that would house the 51ÁÔÆæ's 29 museum collections in order to promote interdisciplinary research, a high level of museum leadership standard and community engagement on the 51ÁÔÆæ campus.
Annual Reports
The 51ÁÔÆæ Museums Annual Report document the academic year (July 1 to June 30). Starting in 2016 / 2017, the 51ÁÔÆæ Museums Annual Reports are organized to track progress made in the UA Museums and Collections Strategic Plan 2017 - 2021: Contributing to the Public Good, record work from the Policy and Planning Committee for the General Faculties Council, and selected achievements of museum collections on campus.
