Undergraduate programs

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), offered by the Alberta School of Business, is a four year degree program. We offer a number of courses covering business finance, institutions of finance and different financial topics.

Finance

Earn a BCom in Finance and build a strong foundation for careers in banking, investments, corporate finance, and more. Taught by industry-experienced faculty, our curriculum blends theory, case studies, and real-world insights. As a CFA-verified program, it aligns with professional standards, preparing you for the CFA ( exam and a successful career in finance.

Finance Honours

The BCom Honors in Finance is designed for Finance majors who want to build a deeper expertise in finance. As it is intended for those targeting positions that require higher-level business skills, the Honors Program demands strong performance and solid motivation. Students in the program can choose to follow one of two streams: Private Venture Markets (PVM) or the Trading, Risk Analytics, and Digital Finance (TRADF).

PRIME

Gain real-world investment experience with the Program for Research and Investment Management Excellence (PRIME). This two-year program immerses business students in active portfolio management, guided by industry mentors and expert faculty. With access to professional investment tools, hands-on decision-making, and a $550,000+ fund, PRIME equips students with the skills to excel in finance. Open to third- and fourth-year students at the Alberta School of Business.
