Sarah Shorten Award, 2024

The Sarah Shorten Award “recognizes the outstanding achievements of those active in promoting the advancement of women in the academy” (). In April 2024, CAUT awarded the Rupertsland Centre for Métis Research the Sarah Shorten Award for its work with Les Femmes Michif Otipemisiwak on the Métis Women’s Leadership course, NS 280. This award recognizes the combined initiative to advance the education and leadership for Métis women. .
